Yesterday, the Northern Section of the California Chapter of the American Planning Association announced that the Vallco Town Center Specific Plan has received its 2019 Award of Excellence for a Comprehensive Plan. We are honored to have been part of the Opticos Design team that prepared the plan.

Hayward’s new downtown plan prioritizes walking, bicycling, and transit, celebrates local history, and capitalizes on the district’s BART station, providing homes for thousands of new residents. Today, the Northern California section of the American Planning Association honored the plan with its 2020 Comprehensive Plan Award of Merit.

Today, the Los Angeles Section of the American Planning Association announced that it is honoring the San Fernando Corridors Specific Plan with its 2020 "Against All Odds" Award of Excellence for Comprehensive Planning. Patrick Siegman is honored to have been part of the Sargent Town Planning team that prepared the plan and helped the City bring it to a successful conclusion.

The County of Santa Clara has been awarded the National Association of Counties (NACo) 2018 Achievement Award for the “Silicon Valley 2.0: Decision-making Tools for Climate Adaptation and Resilience” program. While a Principal at Nelson\Nygaard Consulting, Siegman & Associates founder Patrick Siegman was part of the AECOM consulting team that prepared the Silicon Valley 2.0 plan and helped the County bring it to a successful conclusion.

At its 2018 General Assembly, the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) presented the "Against All Odds Award" to the City of San Fernando for successfully adopting the Corridors Specific Plan. Patrick Siegman is honored to have been part of the Sargent Town Planning team that prepared the plan and helped the City bring it to a successful conclusion.

On June 2, the Northern California Section of the American Planning Association presented the 2017 Award of Merit for comprehensive planning for a small jurisdiction to the East Palo Alto General Plan Update and Westside Area Plan. Patrick Siegman led the transportation aspects of the plan, as part of a team led by Raimi + Associates.
